Sefaira is a powerful building performance modeling program that enables architects and engineers to quantify how early design decisions can affect energy use, building operating costs, and daylighting. This class will focus on how to use Sefaira for SketchUp to understand building performance in order to guide your design decisions. You’ll get hands-on with Sefaira, learn the interface, find out how to prepare a SketchUp model for analysis, and practice the basics of building science and strategies. *Note: Prior to class, students should download the Sefaira for SketchUp extension. Students will be provided with a license username and password at the beginning of class.
