Low-poly is a way to describe 3D models that intentionally use a small number of polygons. While originally used to simplify the demands of software to display models in real-time 3D renderings, Low-poly modeling is now also the basis for incredible illustration and artwork. Rodrigo will showcase low-poly modeling techniques and workflows gathered from over a decade of using Sketchup as not only a 3D package, but also as a platform for developing 2D, low-poly illustrations. This presentation will cover preparation, drafting, modeling and rendering using SketchUp.
Rodrigo is a brazilian architect that shifted to videogame art and has been using SketchUp to create illustrations, videogame characters and environments!
