SketchUp is an excellent tool for expressing your ideas for 3D printing. But the files are not ready-to print given the non-manifold and overlapping surfaces. We will help you fix that and unlock the potential to make your designs real. Carly Mandel is an active artist and designer at Shapeways and Victoria Martinez works closely with the design community and helped create the Design With Shapeways platform. They will lead this workshop on foundational skills for creating 3D printed designs for over forty different materials and finishes. You’ll leave with a better, practiced understanding of workflow, materials, and helpful extensions for 3D printing.
