Learn how to model whole cities in minutes with PlaceMaker, automate the creation of complex architecture and site objects with Profile Builder 3, and shape terrain with Artisan. Daniel Tal and Dale Martens will demonstrate how to integrate these powerful extensions for SketchUp into project workflow. PlaceMaker, the “GIS” for SketchUp imports 3D buildings, roads, walks, water and whole forests with a click of a button, saving hours of work and providing excellent, detailed context models. Profile Builder 3 is a power-modeling but simple to use plugin with parametric options to create custom site objects like railings and wall assemblies and comes with a library of premade objects. Artisan, the crazy-powerful organic modeling tool, can be used to modify terrain or used to create curved, irregular complex forms and shapes. The session will provide easy to follow instructions and details to get working with these tools on your own.
