EDU Ascent: Student Panel
Join the Edu Ascent Competition student finalists as they present their winning SketchUp projects. Ranging from architecture and sustainability to fine art, come see how these aspiring designers are using SketchUp to stand out in their respective fields. 

Katie Ubben: “The Remnants”
“How much of a building can be cut away before it is no longer recognizable? Which pieces or parts should be saved, and how will they be reused? This thesis recognizes the potential for obsolete forms to regain cultural currency. 

Roderick Varh: “Eco-work”
The objective of this project is an attempt to not only provide fun and enjoyable office work spaces but to also create an attractive pedestrian friendly urban environment that interconnects site with city.

Lindsay Rothwell: “Vanitas”
With Vanitas, the classical still life process is inverted by drafting 2D images in a 3D environment and revealing their hidden geometry.
